Ewalu Ronald is the founder of Ewalu Law Chambers, and the Managing Partner. ELC is a Ugandan law firm specializing in corporate, commercial, family law, litigation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre and currently pursuing his second degree in Business Administration.

Ronald has represented major institutions including RUFORUM (Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture), Research and Education Agency, Adipala High School, Colossus Sports, Value Addition Microfinance, Venture South Management Company, Demos Capital and several leading construction companies earning recognition for his effectiveness in resolving complex legal matters. His strong presence in arbitration and ADR underscores his ability to deliver practical, efficient solutions outside traditional courtrooms.

Through his diverse practice, Ronald has established himself as a trusted legal partner for corporations, educational institutions, and businesses, positioning Ewalu Law Chambers as a key player in Uganda’s legal landscape.

Atuhire Gilbert is a commercially focused law graduate from Makerere University, holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. He possesses a strong academic foundation in Company Law, Intellectual Property, Insurance, Banking, Estate Planning, and Insolvency Law.

He has gained practical experience in the banking and microfinance sector, with expertise in due diligence, litigation support, regulatory compliance, and transaction assistance. His professional background reflects a keen ability to bridge legal, financial, and technological perspectives, making him adaptable across diverse business and legal environments.

Recognized for precision, analytical thinking, confidentiality, and strong drafting skills, Gilbert consistently delivers high-quality legal and commercial support. His unique combination of academic knowledge and practical exposure positions him as a valuable asset in corporate, financial, and regulatory practice.

A commercially focused law graduate from Makerere University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Law Development Centre. Demonstrates strong academic grounding in Tax, Company Law, Intellectual Property, Insurance, Banking, Estate Planning and Insolvency Law.

Brings a unique multidisciplinary background combining law, statistics, finance and information security, including an MSc in Information Security (Distinction) from Royal Holloway, University of London, a Bachelor of Statistics, and Oracle Database Certification.

Has practical experience in legal research, drafting, due diligence, litigation support, regulatory compliance and transaction assistance gained through his previous work exposures.

Also possesses extensive professional experience in financial services, risk management, systems administration, SME advisory and financial literacy training, offering strong commercial awareness and analytical depth.

Akatwijuka Ramadhan is an Associate at Ewalu Law Chambers and an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Kampala International University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.

Ramadhan is a versatile legal practitioner with extensive knowledge and experience across multiple disciplines, including Corporate law, Banking and finance, Property law and conveyancing, Dispute resolution, Regulatory and compliance matters, Human rights law, Land law, Corporate governance, Family law, Intellectual property and Criminal law

His broad expertise enables him to provide comprehensive legal solutions tailored to diverse client needs.

Beyond his professional practice, Ramadhan is an avid reader, passionate footballer, and enjoys engaging socially, reflecting his dynamic personality both inside and outside the firm

Farouk Bitature is a dedicated legal practitioner with a strong academic foundation and diverse practical experience. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Islamic University in Uganda and a Post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.

Farouk has honed his expertise through practice with Aeton Advocates and Zemei Aber Law Chambers, where he gained extensive knowledge in: Land Transactions, Employment Law, Corporate and Commercial Practice among others.

His professional interests extend to Islamic Banking, where he is passionate about exploring and contributing to the growth of Sharia-compliant financial systems.

A motivated and detail-oriented legal professional with hands-on experience in judicial research, mediation, and access-to-justice initiatives. Served as a Legal Researcher (Clerkship) at Mwanga II Magistrate Court, Mengo contributing to draft judgments, supporting case backlog reduction efforts, and managing the Electronic Court Case Management Information System (ECMIS). Gained practical exposure to mediation and conciliation processes within the court system.

Previously interned at Justice Center Uganda (JCU), Mengo (July–August 2022), where he provided free legal advice to clients, conducted mediations, performed legal research, and supported case strategy development in collaboration with advocates. Recognized for strong analytical skills, professionalism, and commitment to improving access to justice.

Additionally completed the Latham & Watkins LLP Intellectual Property Virtual Experience Program (July 2022), strengthening research and analytical skills in patent law and intellectual property litigation through practical simulations and case exercises.
